Are you a young, beginning
or small farmer?
"Young" farmer –
farmer or rancher under the age of 35, at the time of the loan closing.
"Beginning" farmer – farmer or rancher or one who is in the process of establishing an agricultural operation and has not assumed the full control and risk of the operation for longer than 10 years.
"Small" farmer –
farmer or rancher having gross sales from agriculture of less than $250,000
